AI literacy
The EU AI Act expects companies that use AI to help their people understand it.

What it is
Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures to support the AI literacy of the people who operate or use those systems on their behalf — taking into account their knowledge, experience and the context of use. It does not demand a guaranteed level for each person, and it applies whatever the system's risk level.
Example
Before rolling out an AI assistant, a company runs a short training on what the tool is for, where its limits are and what data may go into it.
What can go wrong
People who don't understand a tool's limits trust it too much — or work around it with tools of their own.
How to secure it
Short, role-specific training, a one-page usage policy and a place to ask questions. This compass can be a start.
